In 1967 Karel Gott leaves Europe for 6 months, to visit Las Vegas in US. It was certainly one of the reasons why his then the biggest Czech "rival", Waldermar Matuška has won the the Golden Nightingale award and became the most famous singer of the year, who had a really lucky year. The second reason of his "fall", if we can call it a fall, it was recording of an album, not really successful at the czech market, which really ranks to the weak ones. During this period, the voice of Karel Gott was changing fast, as if he would be seeking his new face. The other pop music was changing very fast, from twist, roc'n'rolls to simple small theatre songs to the new mainstream... This try did not really succeed. Karel Gott sounds a bit more older, as if he would be hesitating on one spot. From this album, except for the classical Adagio, no bigger hit has risen. In the re-edition CD Complete, the album is saved by successful bonuses from this period. However, it was his first serial album and it was awarded a golden record, as well.
