This time, Karel Gott recorded an album of classical songs and opera arias with the Czech philharmony, under leading of Frank Preisler. Despite of the fact that Karel Gott is not an opera singer, as one of the very few singers of the light pop, he stills manages to perform this demanding genre without any problems and he can't deny that he has been studying oper singing and the technical part of it. Even though he does not use it and sings normally, which means on the edge of the voice, he can still manage to sing this genre. This album is a very unusual one and it builds a sort of bridge between pop and classical music. There are only a few such records and it may be interesting even for those who do not care about classical music otherwise (however it may cause the opposite effect for his listeners who do not wish to hear such things of Karel Gott...)
