In 1990, Karel Gott recorded a Christmas album after several years, in a similar, more intimated performance as the record called Alle Jahre wieder, which sounds pure, very seriously and spiritual but in some places rather flat, without expression. From the album, you can feel the pleasant atmosphere after the revolution, but a sort of tiredness as well, as if it missed a spark. We can find 4 songs from the album White Christmas there, but also the song Sen o věku nádherném or Panis angelicus, which were about to be recorded in Czech versions later. The song Panis angelicus was recorded with a very popular Czech singer in that period, Ladislav Křížek. Other songs were not released in Karel Gott's performance in Czech versions. The name of the album is the same as the titel song, In dieser Nacht (The Holy Night).
