In 1981, Karel Gott made his way full of enthousiasm into the country music waters. He chose tried classical country hits such as Country Roads, Take Me Home (which he has re-arranged in a significant way and he is singing it in a very high tempo), on the album, you can even find hits of Czech authors, such as superhit Ráno jedu dál (Whiskey On The Rocks). The record belongs among the most controversial ones and K. Gott has earned destroying reviews from Czech reviewers and country singers, for what he has done. On the other hand, it's interesting, that in the same period, on US-Fan fair country festivals in Nashwille, he has been earning enthousiasted reviews from the US-reviewers and standing ovations from audience (thank to this, he has been invited repeatedly to Nashwille)... The album has also been recorded in an English version and in Germany, it has been released in re-edition on CD in 1990. In the edition Komplet, this album contains an aria called La Danza, but again by mistake, in the very same, Supraphone version, which has already been released on CD Karel Gott '78 - it's not the Polydor-version, as mentioned in the sleeve. The same mistake was made with the song Já videl kvést Prahu v máji, which has been released in the same version, as on the CD Melodie, které nestárnou (1975) - it's not a different record, as it is stated, but from a different source only.
